Aidez les familles de réfugiés au Kurdistan  : 

Les milices terroristes de l’État islamique se déchaînent avec une violence inimaginable. Des gens sont décapités ou enterrés vivants, et à ce jour, mille femmes et jeunes filles ont été enlevées, mariées de force, vendues en esclaves ou données en butin aux terroristes. 

150 000 chrétiens, yézidis et d’autres minorités ont, dans la panique, fui vers la Région autonome kurde, beaucoup à pied. Des milliers de yézidis sont encore pris au piège dans la montagne de Shingal par les terroristes, et risquent de mourir de faim et de soif, sous des températures allant jusqu’à 50ºc.

  

Aide au lauréat du prix de la paix d’Aachen 

L’évêque Rabban Al-Qas, fondateur de l’École international de Duhok, au Kurdistan d’Irak, qui a reçu l’année dernière le prix Aachen de la Paix, a organisé la prise en charge de plus de 3000 familles déplacées (environ 15. 000 personnes) à Duhok, qui sont démunies de tout : abris, nourriture, vêtements, médicaments, couvertures, matelas, accessoires d’hygiène tels que savons et shampoing – car dans leur fuite, elles n’ont pu quasiment rien emporter avec elles, hormis les vêtements qu’elles avaient sur le dos.

Pire encore, certaines familles ont perdu tout contact avec des proches, sans savoir s’’ils ont pu s’échapper, s’ils ont été massacrés ou s’ils sont morts ou en train de mourir dans des monts arides.

En quelques jours, Mgr Rabban a réussi à mobiliser des aides bénévoles, jusque dans les plus petits villages ; des étudiants et étudiantes de l’école lauréate se sont portés aussi volontaires auprès des réfugiés. 

Malheureusement les besoins sont grands et le défi est énorme pour la Région du Kurdistan. Des centaines de milliers de civils ont tout perdu leurs maisons et leurs biens ont été pillés, leurs champs brûlés et leur bétail volé.

Il ont besoin de toute urgence d’un soutien financier extérieur. Vous pouvez aider à alléger une souffrance indescriptible.

Helfen Sie Flüchtlingsfamilien im Irak. 

IS Terrormilizen wüten im Irak mit unbeschreiblicher Gewalt: Menschen werden enthauptet oder bei lebendigen Leib begraben, bislang 1.000 Frauen und Mädchen entführt, zwangsverheiratet, als Sklavinnen verkauft oder als Prämien unter den Terroristen verteilt. 

150.000 Christ*innen, Jesid*innen und Angehörige anderer Minderheiten fliehen in Panik ins kurdische Autonomiegebiet, viele zu Fuß. Tausende Jesid*innen sind immer noch auf dem Berg Shingal von Terroristen eingekesselt und drohen zu verdursten und zu verhungern. 

Bischof Rabban Al Qas, Gründer der Internationalen Schule in Dohuk im kurdischen Teil des Irak, die im vergangenen Jahr den Aachener Friedenspreis erhielt, organisiert die Versorgung von derzeit über 3000 Flüchtlingsfamilien (ca. 15.000 Menschen) in Dohuk, denen es an allem fehlt: Unterkunft, Nahrung, Kleidung und Medikamente - denn nahezu nichts konnten sie auf der Flucht mitnehmen. 

In wenigen Tagen hat es Bischof Rabban geschafft, freiwillige Helfer selbst in den kleinsten Dörfern zu aktivieren; auch Schülerinnen und Schüler unserer Preisträgerschule helfen als Freiwillige bei der Versorgung der Flüchtlinge mit.  

Doch die Not ist groß, die Herausforderung für die Region ist enorm.

Winner of the 2013 Aachen Peace Prize:

Every hour the situation in Iraq is worsening. As you read this people are dying.

The terrorist militia of the Islamic State runs amok with unspeakable violence. People are being beheaded or buried alive, and to this day, more than a thousand women and girls have been abducted, forcibly married, sold as slaves or given as booty to terrorists.

More than 150,000 Christians, Yezidis and other minorities, fled in panic to the Kurdish Region, most on foot.

Many thousands of Yezidis are still trapped in the mountain of Shingal by the Islamic State terrorists, and are dying of hunger and thirst in temperatures as high as 50c.

Please help the winner of the Aachan Peace Prize to help others.

Bishop Rabban Al Qas, founder of the International School of Duhok, in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which last year received the Aachen Peace Prize, is organizing the supply of essentials to more than 3,000 displaced families (approximately 15,000 people) in Duhok, who deprived of everything now urgently require: shelter, medicine, food, water, clothing, blankets, mattresses, hygiene items such as soap and shampoo - in their flight they could take practically nothing with them, often escaping with only the clothes they were wearing.

Worst of all - they have lost contact with family members and friends, not knowing if they managed to escape, if they are alive, or if they have been slaughtered or died on the arid mountainside.

Within days, Mgr Rabban has mobilized volunteer helpers, even in the smallest villages; volunteer students from the prize winning International School also joined in to help the refugees. But sadly, their need is far too great and the challenge is huge for the Kurdistan Region.

Many hundreds of thousands of innocent people have lost everything, their homes and belongings have all been destroyed, their wheat fields have been burnt and livestock stolen.
